Recommended Reading...

Bobby and I read this book recently, and we really love it, so much in fact, that we want to spread the word about it (FYI, we are not affiliated with Dave Ramsey or his book:)). It's an easy read and it has some easy principles to follow in order to get completely out of debt, build up a savings, and invest for retirement, while following guidelines similar to that of the church. Imagine being COMPLETELY out of debt and saving for retirement and things like childrens' education within an average of five years! If your interested, Dave Ramsey also has a radio program on AM 970 from 7-10pm.

Masquerade

We went to a masquerade last Saturday, and had a BLAST! It was so fun. All of my old roomies were there so it was great to catch up and to get all dressed up. It was put on by Crystal's family, and boy did they go all out. No masquerade is complete with out belly dancers, right?...and a dj...and food..and prizes...and a photographer. Thanks Plummers!! Or should I say Count and Countess Plumier.

Pumpkin Walk

I went to the pumpkin walk with some friends this week. There was some pretty funny stuff (and some that were pretty creepy). I think that it was a hero theme where the people creating scenes did them after one of their heroes. Nice idea, though a little weird to look at a Moses pumpkin parting the Red Sea (or cornfield) and then to turn around and see a slightly stoned looking Bob Marley pumpkin. To each his own...

My favorite, the Noah's Ark pumpkins. Checkout the pumpkin bums on those elephants and the tumbleweed sheep
